Brewery Update: Production Wastewater Solutions at Bosque North
At Bosque Brewing Co., we are committed to the well-being of our team, the neighborhoods in
which we conduct our business, and most of all, transparency.
Over the past couple of years, we’ve worked closely with the Town of Bernalillo and our landlord to
address challenges surrounding the brewing process wastewater generated at our Bosque North
production facility. While we’ve made significant efforts to adapt and reduce our wastewater
output, we’ve reached a point where further adjustments are necessary to meet the town’s needs.
To ensure alignment with local requirements and preserve the integrity of our operations, we’ve
decided to shift the production of five of our core offerings (Riverwalker, EOP, Weekend Trails,
Scotia, and Salt Money) to Sleeping Giant, a well-respected contract brewery in Denver, CO, while
we continue working toward a long-term solution. Many of you will remember we worked with
Sleeping Giant in 2016 while Bosque North was under construction, and we are more than
confident in their ability to help get us through this time.
Since we made this decision in early December, we have been and will continue to brew at Bosque
North. This interim change in our production strategy allows us to dedicate more focus and
creativity on the rotating taproom specialties that have become equally known and loved, as well as
on the local partnerships that have been a part of our mission of crafting a greater sense of
belonging and pride in New Mexico since we opened in 2012. We released nearly 50 rotating
specialty offerings in 2024 and plan to do the same in 2025.
We deeply appreciate the ongoing support of our fellow New Mexicans and visitors to our beloved
state, which continues to inspire our efforts as we adapt to meet the evolving needs of our
community and industry.
We will be sure to keep you updated as this situation develops, and we cannot wait to see you in our
taprooms in 2025!
