The Lost Cause Returns
As we settle into our second year of business, we’ve noticed that some goals have been achieved very quickly, while others have taken a little longer to realize. Now that we’re up to our eyeballs in beer and all things related, we’re ready to kick off our Adopted Ale series again with the return of Bosque’s Burnin’ Red.
For the next month, we will donate $1 from any and every Burnin’ Red pour to the ABBA Fund, an agency providing no interest loans to families adopting children internationally and domestically. It’s an easy way to help change a child’s life forever: drink a beer!
What can you expect from such an ale? An off-white head atop a fiery red quaff. Spicy and tangy rye notes accentuate the sweet, malty base. Loads of citrusy and piney hops give this one a bitter bent.
From here on out, the Adopted Ale series will be a staple at the San Mateo Brewpub and the Nob Hill Public House when it opens. Every month, a seasonal beer will be designated as the Adopted Ale, and proceeds will go towards alleviating the financial strain on adoptive families.
