A Little History...
In what could have been a run-of-the-mill conversation with a mutual friend, Gabe mentioned that he would like to open a microbrewery in Albuquerque
someday. Her response, “why don’t you?” Though simple enough, this question turned out to be the catalyst that set us on our journey to leave our desk jobs behind and pursue our passion: craft beer.
Why Craft Beer?
It’s not really as simple as the beer itself; it’s everything that goes into creating each sudsy pint. Every time you sit down with a Bosque craft beer
, you’re really drinking our passion for artistry, community and the small business.
Craft beer allows us to be creative every time we design a new beer, but what that beer accomplishes is remarkable. It crosses distinct cultural barriers, bringing people from all walks of life together. It generates revenue that in turn produces jobs for locals and an ability to fund charitable work and social change. It brings out the best in people.
We have always had an entrepreneurial drive, and after cumulatively owning several businesses, we set our sights on the brewing industry. One problem: we needed to know how to brew beer… As a test of reasonableness (or to make sure we weren’t insane) we decided if our first homebrew was palatable, we could continue. Sure enough, it wasn’t half bad! For the next two and a half years we devoted ourselves to learning everything we could about designing and brewing excellent beer and kept a rigorous schedule of brewing just about every 3 weeks. The result is high levels of confidence and excitement in bringing you Bosque Brewing Co
Descending into the valley and overlooking the strip of bosque green cutting through the desert is truly inspiring. Ask anyone from Albuquerque what draws them to the bosque and you’ll likely get a wide variety of answers.
- Where do road bikers rack up mileage? The bosque.
- Where do families go for leisure walks and bike rides? The bosque.
- Where can you find miles of stress-relieving single track in the middle of the city?
- Where do runners train for big races?
- Where can you run into desert wildlife?
It all happens in the bosque. Whether you’re walking your dog, bird watching, picnicking, shooting a video, or nailing your latest time-lapse photo, everyone has something that draws them down into the cottonwoods. The bosque brings people together. We strive to do the same.
To all you Bosque supporters out there, we say, “thank you and bottoms up!”
