A Happy Accident
The Birth of the Craft Brew We Call "Olde Bosky"
Musicians, and artists of all types, in their vast repertoire of noteworthy accomplishments, often experience happy accidents that end up atop of their list of favorites. As the band hammers through an arrangement, moments of genius occur as the improv takes the song to heights no one dreamed. No one can account for why it happened or how it happened. They just know that recreating it is a must! For us, Olde Bosky is just that.
Our Artisan Crafted Robust Porter
We were only months into our endeavor to start a brewery, and learning to brew beer (naturally!), when we decided to throw stock recipes out the window and design our first beer from scratch. The original intention was to create a Brown Ale, but we completely ignored style guidelines and combined flavors we routinely seek when selecting a good Brown but rarely find. Many Browns are boring and lack the complexity and big flavors we crave, so we kicked it up a notch! What followed was not a Brown, but a good ol’ fashioned Robust Porter.
Olde Bosky is nearly black with ruby highlights when held up to the light. Chocolate and roasty tones enhance the rich, malt character. This well-balanced, medium-bodied ale is, most importantly, a pleasure to drink!
We’re excited to share a pint of Olde Bosky with you! Watch for updates to our Craft Brew Blog as we reveal Bosque Brewing's year-round craft brew staples.
