Suffice it to say that when we opened Bosque in October, 2012, we knew that was only the first step in achieving our dream of being a regional production brewery. We even toyed around with calling it “The Lab” where our ideas would be formulated and tested prior to going to market. Big dreams with humble beginnings. Seth Godin advises entrepreneurs to “ship it” — just get to market — and then start the process of refining and retooling for version 2.0. And that’s where we find ourselves today: Bosque 2.0.
2014 has been a tremendous year for us! We kicked off the year by bringing on John Bullard as our head brewer (and mad scientist…), and soon after, commissioned our 15-barrel system in our new brewery space. Construction is underway for our Nob Hill Public House, and, yes, it is slated to happen this year. If that wasn’t exciting enough, we won the 2014 NM Brewers Guild NM IPA Challenge before our 2nd anniversary! We couldn’t be more proud of our excellent brewing team!
So what’s next?
We’re going to push that brewhouse to its limits! Today we released our first lager: Pathfinder’s Pils, a Bohemian Inspired Pilsner, clocking in at 5.9% ABV and 35 IBUs. This one is the brainchild of Ira, one of our brewers, and embodies everything we love about the beers of summer. In the coming weeks you’ll see our Bosque Lager, which will be entered in the GABF, and an American Fruited Sour for those who love that kind of bite.
We appreciate all of you that come out to our taproom and see us at festivals because, without you, we couldn’t live out our dream!
